Got the pepper mill for the wife for Christmas and this puppy exceeded our expectations. We will be buying another one for the sea salt dispensing. Two thumbs up for this kitchen toy!Makes life just oh so simple.

Best gift ever November 24, 2012

A friend gave me one of these pepper mills as a gift, and I thought it was the most ridiculous thing I had ever seen--a battery-operated pepper mill.  But I used it for many years, and when I broke I bought a replacement that very same day.  It is absolutely wonderful for cooking, because you can cook with one hand and just flip the pepper mill over with the other hand and have fresh ground pepper.  Plus it's a fun conversation piece at a dinner party.  I purchased this one for a friend who fell in love with mine when she had dinner at my house.  Personally, I prefer my red mill to the chrome finish I bought for my friend--I was expecting it to be metal, and it is just a chrome coating.  But still--if you are a foodie and a cook, you need this pepper mill.
